About the project

Data for Better Decisions strengthens evidence-based management across Punjab's health sector by improving how routine health information is analyzed and used. The component combines development of ASET (Analytics for Service Efficiency and Tracking), specialized capacity building in data analytics, visualization and GIS, and the District Performance Tracker (DPT). Together, these tools and trainings help provincial and district managers monitor service delivery, identify gaps, assess population coverage, strengthen accountability, and convert routine data into actionable evidence for planning and performance improvement.

Making Better Use of Data for Improved Health Service Delivery in Punjab describes a collaboration between the Population Council and the Health and Population Department, Punjab, particularly HISDU, to strengthen the use of routine health information for planning and performance management. The work combines the ASET interoperable analytics platform, specialized training in data analytics, visualization and GIS, and the District Performance Tracker to help provincial and district managers turn routine data into actionable evidence.
