Empowering Women through Health Provision at the Workplace
A workplace pilot examining women workers’ health needs and testing information, services and workplace improvements intended to support informed health decisions.
Project Overview
About the project
The Population Center designed and implemented a pilot intervention with women workers in a textile factory. The work assessed knowledge, practices and barriers related to general health and hygiene, reproductive health, mental health and children’s health; provided information and services to support informed decision-making; and examined policy and program implications for workplace health. The evaluation documented changes in healthcare consultations, knowledge, decision-making and workplace sanitation conditions.
