ActivePAIDAR
Private Sector Allied for Inclusive Delivery of Accessible Reproductive Health
A DAFPAK component strengthening the role of private-sector male family physicians in family planning service delivery in Punjab.
Project Overview
About the project
PAIDAR was designed to strengthen the role of private-sector male family physicians in family planning service delivery across six districts of Punjab. The component uses a public-private partnership model combining provider mapping, competency-based training, digital reporting through a mobile MIS, pharmacy and pharmaceutical-distributor engagement, referral networks, supportive supervision, and stronger contraceptive supply linkages. It also tested the feasibility, safety, and acceptability of providing long-acting reversible contraceptives through trained private male family physicians.
