A national study examining societal and health-system factors affecting women’s health and wellbeing, including access to reproductive health and abortion-related services.
Project Overview
About the project
As part of a Population Council consortium, the Population Center led major fieldwork responsibilities for this national study, including development and pre-testing of data-collection instruments, development of the public-facility sampling frame, implementation of a Health Facility Survey across 500 health facilities, key-informant interviews, and in-depth interviews with Lady Health Workers and women in communities. The study was designed to generate timely policy-relevant evidence on women’s health needs and access to services.
